Flags
Green – start of a race
White – one lap to go until finish
Yellow – Caution. When a yellow flag is displayed, competitors must ride cautiously until they have passed the incident that caused the flag. In motocross when a yellow flag is displayed there is no passing or jumping between the flag and the incident that caused the yellow flag. Failure to do so may result in the rider being dock from finishing the position all the way to disqualification from the event subject at the referee’s discretion. No passing, jumping, etc. with in 100 foot on each side of caution flags.
Black – Disqualification of a rider. That rider must report to a referee at once.
White flag with Red Cross – indicated the ambulances or safety vehicles or emergency personnel are on the course. Exercise Caution. In motocross, arena cross, etc. should this flag be displayed riders will slow down and maintain their position with no passing, jumping until past the incident.
Red – stopping of a race for any emergency situation
Black and White Checkered – End of a race – Always race to the checkered flag!

Race Rules
Official Results are declared finial if no rider request a recheck within a half hour of the results being posted after the second moto. The finial results posted after the second moto at the scoring tower will not be altered at the end of the 30 min protest period. It is a rider’s responsibility to ensure number legibility. If a rider appeals his score and the numbers are not properly displayed, a protest will be disallowed. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
- No one is permitted on the track during the races unless working. During the 50 cc race, one parent may move safely about the track.
- Once practice starts, you may not change you class. You may add a class but understand that the race order will not be changed and you may have to race back to back. You are not entitled to a refund once practice starts.
- All riders except a few 50 cc and mini quad riders must go through the double section of the track.
- Race to the checkered flag. If this means you raced 2 laps or 12 laps, or the white flag was out once, twice or not at all- the results will stand at the checkered flag.
- Pit riding stops when practice starts. Use caution when leaving your pit going to the pre-staging area. Many spectators are still arriving during the first moto and many racers are leaving shortly after the second moto.
- No racer is allowed a running start. Everyone must line up on the starting gate and leave from that point when the gate drops. Riders cannot have a push start. Riders are not permitted to jump the gate.
- In the event of a tie at the end of the series, whoever places higher in the finial round will place higher overall.
- Riders whose machine is disabled before reaching the finish line may, under his own physical power, push or carry his machine (in the direction of the track) across the finish line to receive the checkered flag. Provided he completes at least 50% of the number of laps as the winner, a rider who finishes in this manner will be considered as having completed the event.
- If a rider stops for any reason during an event, he must restart without any outside assistance. However, if a rider falls, blocking the course and endangering other riders, he may receive help or have his machine pushed off the course. An attempt to help under any other situation will result in the rider’s disqualification.
- A rider leaving the course must reenter at the same point or at the first point where he can safely do so without interfering with the other riders or without gaining an advantage. Failure to do so will result in the rider being penalized a minimum of one finishing position for that event. (pulled from the 2007 alma rules page 20)
- A competitor who rides in a way that endangers officials, other riders or the public will be subject to immediate disqualification from the meet by the race official or employees.
- When entering or leaving the pits, a rider must use designated entrance and exit lanes. Failure to do so could result in disqualification.
- In the event a race is stopped because riders down, the first rider down is placed last in the restart, etc.. With the last rider down behind the last rider who did not fall. If for any reason a rider dose not complete the red-flagged lap, he too will be placed in the rear of the restart in a position respective of his stoppage. IF the race is called complete the riders will be scored in the position in which they would have restarted.
- Riders who jump the line just prior to start may be disqualified and black flagged out of the event while the race continues.
- In the event of a rider down, DO NOT RUN ON THE TRACK! The parents or guardians of the child may move safely to their child. The flagger closest to the rider down will assist the child till the EMT’s are at the side of the rider down. After the EMT’s get to the down rider the flagger will return to the position and safely move the other racers around the down rider. AT no time are you allowed to jump, pass, or take a bypass between the yellow or white flag with red cross and the incident that caused the yellow flag. Failure to comply will result in being immediately disqualified from the event with out a refund of moneys. People running on to the track is a danger to, it’s like running into traffic. Only the rider’s guardians or parents and EMT’s need to be on the track with the down rider.
- 16. A rider must be ready when called to the starting area. If not ready, the rider is allowed two minutes after the starters call to the scoring tower. If not ready after two minutes the rider will be DNS.
- You are not allowed to change bikes after practice begins. You must race on the bike that your practice on.
- Once Practice starts, their will be no refund of money to you.
- If you are caught riding on any tracks or pit riding to fast, or standing on the track during the races you will receive one waning. After that you will be disqualified from the event and no refund of moneys to you.
- All spectators and racers will be issued armbands at the gate. They will be separate colors. If a spectator is riding, they will be sent to the front gate to pay a racers gate fee and given the right color armband.
